Today we do not call ourselves citizens of the world but citizens of the global village. What do we mean by that? The boundaries between nations are breaking while places located at a distance are coming closer. But what is exactly meant by that? The distance cannot be getting shorter physically? What does it essentially mean? This means that technology is aiding people connect more easily.

Let us take the example of conference calls. Let us assume you used to hang around in a group of five. All of you live in different cities now. How do you keep in touch while not losing the former thrill of chatting together? You make conference calls. All of you can decide upon a time and talk to each other together at the same time. These calls are not restricted to only one part of the world. It is possible to make conference calls even on the international network.

However, keeping in touch with people only through the telephone is not enough. You just miss on the cues and body language that form such an important part of conversation. The advent of Video conference call solved this problem entirely. Video conferencing allows you to have a conversation which is as good as a face to face conversation.
